Russia starts production of CoviVac vaccine against COVID-19

MOSCOW, Mar 25 (PRIME) -- Russia has started production of its third vaccine against the coronavirus CoviVac on the premises of the Chumakov center, the Science and Higher Education Ministry said in a statement Thursday.

The vaccine was registered in February, and 775,000 doses can be produced in March–June, no less than 10 million in 2021.

Russian company Nanolek could become an industrial partner of the Chumakov center in the vaccine production, Science and Higher Education Minister Valery Falkov said. "This is Nanolek," Falkov said referring to negotiations between the entities.
